Dr Lara Walford

ACCREDITED MENOPAUSE SPECIALIST & GP

Lara Walford graduated from the University of Manchester in 2007 and spent two years working in Manchester hospitals. After working in Emergency medicine in New Zealand, she returned for GP training in Croydon, qualifying in 2013. She has worked as an NHS GP ever since in a busy South London practice and is also a contraceptive coil and implant fitter. She is now relocating to Oxfordshire.

During her career she has developed a specialist interest in women’s health. She recognised that the menopause journey is not always well supported by GP’s due to a lack of training and confidence. She has developed her knowledge through supporting her practice patients and also working at the specialist menopause clinic at Guys Hospital, London. She is a member of the British Menopause Society and has completed her Advanced Menopause Certificate.

She provides an evidence based, personalised and holistic approach, to empower her patients to make informed choices that feel right for them. No two women are the same!
