Oxford Menopause is a small and friendly team so you will get to know your Doctor and the team that support her.
Helen Franklin has worked with Menopause Oxford since its inception and offers a friendly voice at the end of the phone. She has worked for the NHS for a number of years as an administrator and also brings experience of working in a General Practice. Helen has a degree in Theology from the University of Nottingham, and twin girls at home so enjoys discussing anything from Dante’s Inferno to My Little Pony. She is the Lead Administrator for the service and can help you arrange an appointment, request a repeat prescription and help you with any general enquiries.
During our clinic days you may be greeted by one of our receptionists who will see you to your appointment and book in any subsequent appointments.
Health Care Assistants
During your appointments you will meet our Health Care Assistants who will check your weight, blood pressure and take any bloods if required for testing. Karla and Ali have years of experience working within General Practice and assist Dr Barber in any procedures that are necessary.
Ali Fenn has worked in healthcare since 2015 after a change of career motivated by her compassion and empathy to those around her. She is passionate about women’s health, from gynaecological issues to the menopause.
She is an experienced phlebotomist with previous roles within the NHS and private healthcare settings, including working in military medical centres. She enjoys interacting with patients and providing a high standard of quality care.
Karla Moody has worked in healthcare for many years and has been Oxford Menopause since it began.
